I want to use Paypal Cart.

After finally managing to get Zencart to work on my server I now have another little problem.

All my products are digital so in order to fight "Cyber Crime" I have all my files locked by an outside service.

To make the system work in a way that I can understand it I place a PayPal button on my product page, button sends customer to PayPal, PayPal sends customer to unlocking service, unlocking service sends customer to my download page. Relatively simple although being thick it took me a little while to co-ordinate all this with several hundred products.

So I have disabled Zencarts shopping cart, [there's nothing wrong with it, I just want to use the system that I know works for me!]
But it would appear that I haven't as when I click on a PayPal button on my product page I'm taken heaven knows where but not to PayPal.

Store is set on Showcase with prices and everything looks and works fine except, so far, this.

Also is there a limit on product description characters? When I have a long sales/product page [and can't some of these people rattle on?] I seem to be losing the bottom end of the page, you know, the important bit with the price on and the PayPal button.

You can try this
create a folder ABOVE your webroot,
then set the path to it in the config files for the download folder

same security and can still use zen

You may not have noticed the word "thick" in the previous posting, but I don,t see how this would help me connect to PayPal straight from my product page?

you would then be able to use zen cart for what it is,
and your files would still be safe.

My files are safe in the webroot because they are digitally locked, the problem is organising the delivery system.
Each customer for each product has to be supplied with two items, firstly a copy of the product and secondly a randomly generated unlock code.
At present the return from PayPal goes straight to the unlock service for each product seperately, which then provides the code and sends purchaser to download. All nice and secure as far as the unlock code is concerned, which is the important part, not the product.
With Zen as far as I can see PayPal returns to one destination only, I can't have PayPal shooting off to specified URL's like I can with the PayPal cart.
I know that this may seem like sacrilege to you, not using the Zen cart, but Zen is a very well designed shop front and showcase and what's the alternative? osCommerce? Nah, I like this one, it's much prettier. Besides which I'd probably have the same problem.
