Pop-up Image not working (intermittent)

This only occurs when logged in: sometimes when I click a thumbnail the popup does not appear. Navigating away from the page, then returning (e.g. use 'next' page then 'previous' page) makes the same popup work.

Problem seen with this product: http://www.cycleshopper.co.uk/index.php?ma...o&products_id=1, althogh I have seen the same problem on many products in different categories.

I checked popup URL before and after - both identical (!).

Do you know anything that could help ?

When the site finally loaded, the pop-ups seemed to work consistently...

What is not happening as you noted is the other images being loaded.

this one at /images/pf33.JPG is loaded for the larger image and is also loaded for the product info image.

these should be the large image for the large and the medium image for the product info view.

Are you following the correct naming schema?

standard image = /images/pf33.JPG
medium Image   = /images/medium/pf33_MED.JPG
largeer Image  = /images/large/pf33_LRG.JPG

If your images are not named in this fashion, correct this and then see if it loads the correct image/name/location

Also, the image file size is large for the /images file (small image) at 20.7k
These should be more like
small = lesss than 4k
medium = 4-6k
large = only large enough to render on screen correctly

Look in the /images directory at the public_html or www location for your account if hosted, as these are the common locations for most.

There should be a /images - and inside this a /images/medium - and a /images/large

The slow response I would look at the company that hosts this for you. While you images need to be optimized, they are not the full cause for the long load time.

i don't know how to proceed,
my large and medium files do exist but are empty,
and i have no pictures names as pf33_MED.JPG or pf33_LRG.JPG
Even i tried to resize my picture and i do gain about 3 ko max on a pictures of 25 ko,
are the pictures normally resized automatically by ZenCart or do i have to resize each one ?

It seems to be complicated if i have to resize each 2 times (large and medium) and place them on different files.

Do i understand well ?

Photoshop and other miniapps designed just for this purpose can do this in a batch mode.

Collect all pics on you local define new size and the group of files to alter and go;

select another size and the same group and go.

On most PC's this can do 100 images in less than a minute.
