Combined Orders and Free Shipper

Hi,
I seem to find that when items with free shipping are combined with items with postage that customers have the choice of free shipping. Is there any way to stop this happening?
An override where items with postage require the fee to be paid??

I have free shipper and flat rate enabled

I'm having a similar issue. I've created gift certificates and turned on the Free Shipper option. Problem is, Free shipping is now an option for anyone who purchases anything on my site.

How do I make it where the Free shipping only appears for the gift certs and not for any other items AND is not an option when someone buys a gift certificate combined with other things.

Free Shipping Options freeoptions is specifically made to show when other Shipping Methods are available ...

Gift Certificates are set up to:

1 Have the products_model begin with (case sensative) GIFT

2 Product is Virtual YES

They already know, because of these settings, that they are Free Shipping and they do not need anything special done for them ... and they skip the checkout_shipping when they are the only Product in the shopping cart ... if they are in the cart with other Products, they do not affect the shipping as the Shipping Modules that come with Zen Cart are designed to know that they are not counted by weight, price nor item count ...

What version of Zen Cart are you running?

There were updates in v1.3.5 and v1.3.6 on shipping modules and shopping cart that may affect calculations ...

And save me a week of looking for the right Products to combine to reproduce this issue ...

What products_id are NOT already marked as Always Free Shipping?

it seems the free shipping is not being turned off when an item that needs shipping to be paid is added to the cart , hence allowing customers to choose the free option

Specifically, and in detail, describe the settings used for these 2 Products that cannot exist in the cart together and give the right shipping or post the URLs to them so they can be reviewed ...

I cannot fix what I cannot see based on a vague this doesn't work either ... :unsure:

If I put any of my free shipping items into cart with any of my flat rate postage items then it automatically gives the choice of free shipping.

Example...

if I put this into cart with
http://www.freakclubwear.co.uk/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_67&products_id=180
this item then I still get the option to free ship.

As to version of Zen cart I'm running it is...v1.3.0.1

There are quite a few Free Shipping Methods ...

Free Shipping freeshipper is designed to show when other Shipping Modules are disabled because the shipping is FREE

Free Shipping Options freeoptions is designed to always show with other Shipping Modules to provide the customers a choice for the slow boat to china free shipping ...

I believe what you need to to mark:
0 weight is Free Shipping (Shipping/Packaging)

Turn OFF the Shipping Module: Free Shipping Options freeoptions

Turn ON the Shipping Module: Free Shipping freeshipper
