changing font size/color for THIS line of text??

Hello.
I am just wondering what chunk of code I need to alter in order to change font size/color for the text "Welcome guest log yourself in?" on the main page. (Also the line above that too but I suspect they will be together).

And more importantly how can I know where to find these things in the future?

In other words when I see a chunk of code or graphic I want to change, how can I find out the corresponding div name etc..???

If you right click on the page, and then click "view source", you'll see the HTML of the page. If you scroll down to the portion you're interested in, you'd see:

<h2 class="greeting">Welcome <span class="greetUser">Guest!</span> Would you like to <a href="http://www.yoursitename.com/index.php?main_page=login">log yourself in</a>?</h2>

So, in your css file, you need to adjust either the h2 tags, or the .greeting tag, or the .greetUser tag in the css file.

Another thing you might want to do is to grab one of the FireFox extensions that automates this process. The wiki page gives a pointer to FF "Web Developer":

Good luck,

I didn't even know they still had that feature, but the last time I did any web work was right about when they came out with Frames
