Vertical Stacked Features or Specials Sidebox

I'd like to show multiple features stacked in a sidebox.....I can't seem to find this anywhere. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this? Basically show 3 or 4 features at once in the right column.

Currently the Featured sidebox does a selection of product and then narrows it down to just 1 for display ...

That information is gathered in the:
/includes/modules/sideboxes/featured.php

then it is picked up by the template in:
/includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_featured.php

You would need to alter the first file to get more than 1 featured product, then alter the second file to loop through the gathered products to display the information all in one sidebox ...

I've taken your direction and have attempted to play with the code however I must admit that I'm not a php guru. Any more direction would be greatly appreciated. Say I wanted to have 2 featured products show...one on top of the other...what changes would I have to make? I assume that the random call would have to be altered to select 2 products or would we have to add a second random call? And the display would have to show the second feature.....so could we just duplicate the code or is there a simpler method?

Well ... we just built this in to the next release for the Random sideboxes to allow for 1 or more Products to show ...

It will be in the next release for you ... :cool:

Am I being foolish in asking when the next release may be? And if this is already coded, is it possible to sure a hack version of this with us?

As to releasing the code early, no ... not usually in the game plan, sorry ...

I understand you cant give out dates for releases, but are we talking days, weeks or months? its just that my project needs mutliple specials and I would like to give some feedback to the store owner...
