Adding hyperlinked images to summary index listings

Hi,

I've already asked this question at http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51847 but I suspect I've posted in the wrong place, so please accept my apologies for the repetition!

I'm setting up an online music store and I want to have a 3 links on the index/new/all (etc) listing pages. One link needs to play a 30second sample of the track, one to link to an external, configurable url and one which goes to the "more info" product page.

Is there any way of doing this so that the layout looks like:

If anyone has any idea how to do this, I would really appreciate your assistance!

Unfortunately, there is no add on module to do what you want. Mostly due to this being mostly desired by you

Fortunately, ZenCart is very customizable and you can add custom code or get another to custom code this for you.

If you want a look. start with tpl_module_product_listing.php and as I assume that you will want a similar look on the actual product page see tpl_product_info_display.php. These are both in /includes/templates/template_default/templates/
If you know the html method to code this you are half way there, as ZenCart creates the pages dynamically from what is referred to as templates, the actual references will have to be relative calls to the current product.

Of course I'm the only one who wants this feature - thats because I'm awkward :laugh:

I've had a quick look at the files you mentioned, but I'm lost already. Can you recommend anyone who may want some work? I'm a new startup so don't have crazy amounts of money, but I'm willing to pay for the help.

Pardon the very brief post ...

You'd need to modify
/includes/modules/YOURTEMPLATE/product_listing.php
to prepare the 3 links (by coding the logic behind determining what they are)

The output is then handled by the default templates.
You might need to get creative in order to have them display beneath the price as your image shows. Determining the "where" for display is less of a challenge than actually preparing the links to be displayed.
