No Order# on Paypal checkout_success if pay by GV

whenever there is an order completed with PayPal after returning to my site from paypal there's no order# shown all i get is "Order number:" but no actual number.

After refreshing the checkout_success page once or a few times the order appears!

what could be the problem ???

Variables are not getting passed completely first time
Did you install any mods or any other modification to the site?

• Super Orders
• GC
• Ty Tracker
  and a few others

But I cant see the order number in the Admin in this way...

What version of Zen Cart are you running?

This appears to be working fine in the current v1.3.6 ...

I have 1.3.6 with some of the mods mentioned above

I saw the site
$zv_orders_id is not getting the value first time

Surely there is some problem with this line in
\includes\modules\pages\checkout_success\header_php.php

$orders_id = $zv_orders_id;

May be some expert can throw light?
IS $_SESSION not getting any value immediately after the payment is done?

Hmm...Seems like I have got where the problem is
When I again make a transaction, this time the Order number was not blank but the previous order number

Your Order Number is: 2345146

When I refresed the page, I got

Your Order Number is: 2345148

Seems like Sessions are not getting destroyed after making the payment

$_SESSION is not getting immediately refreshed after the payment is done

Switch to the Classic Template ... does it work now?

Sounds like a file is out of date ...

Another test for giggles and grins is to go to the Payment Modules ...

Click on PayPal ... remove/install/configure just to be sure all is right in the world ...

tried....:no: same results... first shows last (previously placed) order, then after refresh a new order # shows.

Try this ...

Close all browser windows ...

Clear cache ...

Open fresh browser window ...

Place order for GV ... does it work?

If using FireFox ... now open IE ... place order, does it work?

Or ... If using IE ... now open FireFox ... place order, does it work?

More or less I am trying to see if this is a session issue related to the checkout_success ...

Technically all is correct on the order, but the checkout_success depending on if you are tripping a session issue in regard to the purchase in testing ...

Using the 2 browser test is making sure that the session is in fact changing on each order ...

closed, cleared....still the same in FF and IE first old order# then after refresh a new one shows....
