Online Catalog

Hi,

On 11/16/06 I was doing the catalog configuration on Zen-Cart and the next day I could not get back online because of the following error message: Warning: main(includes/languages/.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /export/home/an/angel-touch-spa.com/public_html/shopping/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 270.

From my point of view the problem seems to be on the an directory (/export.home/an/...). If it is I do not know how to get the problem solved.

What do you think the problem could be?Could you help me to get this going again? I am really in an worry, so please help me on this matter!

Thank you!:D

Re: Online Catalog

How many languages do you have your site setup for?

What language do you have your shop setup for by default?

Can you see either the Catalog or the Admin?

Re: Online Catalog

Thank you for your reply Linda,

I have only English setup. So the URL is pointing to the english.php file; you can figure it out on the error message.

Re: Online Catalog

Hello Linda,

Afte I reply to you I found the following info on this URL http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25670. Maybe you can verify it this is my problem because you have more experiences than me with ZenCart, Given that I remember I was getting the UK flag on the shopping cart and then we changed it to US English.

If this is the problem Please, let me know how I can put it back or install the US English.

Regards,

Rad :D

Re: Online Catalog

You have a file called
/includes/languages/english.php

You have a directory called
/includes/languages/english

with files in it ...

You have in your configuration table viewing via phpMyAdmin a configuration_key for:
DEFAULT_LANGUAGE

set to the configuration_value:
en

You have a language defined in the table:
languages

With a code defined as:
en

Re: Online Catalog

Hi Linda,

The problem is that I currently can not access my Admin site because I am not getting the Sign On page? So I can't do anything, unless I change any program temporarily and then put it back to the original value, can I?

Re: Online Catalog

All of that was to be checked in phpMyAdmin which is in your Control Panel for your site ...

Then the files you check with your FTP program to see that they all exist in the right places ...

Re: Online Catalog

Hi Linda,

I did not configure all the files and directories. I am just continuing the process.

I was looking in /includes/languages/english.php and the only DEFAULT_LANGUAGE there is DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY, which value is set to 'USD' and then this code define('HTML_PARAMS','dir="ltr" lang="en"');.

All the tables are in the same place because I have not moved any of them from their original places.

The Only thing I did as I told you was that the day before to the problem I changed de language from UK dollar to US dolllar in order to make the UK flag desappear from the shopping cart.

Other things I noted in the error message is that the HOST is pointing to /export/home/an/mydomain.com.... and when I try making the english.php executable again I get the message "File (english.php) created in the current directory (/export/home/mydomain.com/public.html/shopping/includes/languages).

So you may be able to see that the sub-directory "an" is not in the host like it was before (/export/home/an/mydomain.com.... ).

the only place I was able to see the configuration table is in Admin on the ZENCART site. But know I can not get in there because I am not getting the sign on screen but the error message. So I do not have way to get the configuration table and the languages table to set the value as "en"

I do not know if I am confused on this, but I have been trying many thing but nothing work out.

Thank you for your patience.

Best Regards, :D

Re: Online Catalog

Linda,

This is done and working OK.

Thank you very much for your help. I did not know how to access PHPMYADMIN because it really do not have any icon on my web site Control Panel. But I found the HTTP address to get there and I was able to change the value to 'en' on the languages tables.

Re: Online Catalog

Make sure that the directory name matches the language ...

/includes/languages/english
/includes/languages/english.php

/includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english/

Have you an URL to your site?

/includes/languages/english
The languages table path is according to this one.
/includes/languages/english.php
This is the location for the english.php file.
/includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english/
The button_buy_now.gif button is located in this path.
Have you an URL to your site?
Yes I do, and it is allways in the path to locate any table. Example: www.mydomain/shopping/includes/languages/english would be the right path for the first example you wrote down.

Every thing looks OK. I have not moved any object/table from any directory. The Buy button was working OK and unexpectedly it stoped working.

Best Regars,

Rad

Hello Linda,

I got the language image back. It was a icon located at http://www.mydomain.com/shopping/includes/languages/english/images/icome_name . But It continues not showing the Add to Cart button around the product. I have navigated through all the configuration's menus wherever she Shopping Cart or the Add to Cart button wording appear. All parameters have the right values to be active. I can see the Shopping Cart box on the shopping page but saying that the shopping cart is empty. I have not way to access the shopping cart.

Do you have any idea abour it? I'd like to move ahead placing test order.

Thank you and have a very good day!

Re: Online Catalog

Linda,

I also found today that I can not insert new customers. I do not know if thi is because of the same conditions with the Add to Cart Buttor (See last message please).

Below is the only information I get on the customers table. I do not get the insert button:

ID# Last Name First Name Company Account Created Last Login Pricing Group
Asc Desc Asc Desc Asc Desc Asc Desc Asc Desc Asc Desc

Authorized Action

Thank you,

Rad
