Silly question about Products and Pricing

Ok, here it is 12 hrs later, working steadily on Zen and quite tired mind you :sleepy: but on a lighter note, I think I've just about got this new cart figured out. It's actually quite fab and I'm beginning to appreciate all of the options that it can provide.

I've got a silly question that I just cannot figure out. I've tried every combination imaginable and it still doesn't work so I'm coming here for help once again. This is in regards to the zero quantity (or sold out) sign on products. I have been trying to figure out which of the text boxes it is that you set in order to prevent that from happening.

My client keeps her products well stocked and they can stay at an unlimited amount. Now I noticed there is a line of code where you can use the 0 as an unlimited however when I've tried that, it didn't work. I tried a few other mixed combinations of using the 0 and 1s but to no avail it didn't work either.

I am at a loss on how the pricing works with this. If someone could lead me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks everyone.

Regards,

TW

Re: Silly question about Products and Pricing

Have you tried configuration>stock>Show Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart set to 0?

Still Crazy:

Yes I did do that in the configuration section of the stock area. I do have a few concerns however. It is showing 0 items and yet allows you go through the ordering process. I'm assuming with that change over it solved the issue and is allowing me to continue on with the order process like you'd mentioned. What I'm trying to determine now is, how do you remove the 0 quantity? I recall there being a section somewhere within the product set up but I'm not sure if that has to be done everytime you enter something or if there is one actual configuration that will take care of everything across the board. Does that make sense?

Re: Silly question about Products and Pricing

If I am understainding you correctly...

for the product info page, try catalogue>product types>edit layout>Show Quantity in Stock and set to True/False whichever you require.

Or

For the product listing page, try configuration>product listing>Display Product Quantity set to 0

Got it! I figured it out.. :D One more question though. Is it within Pay Pal or is it within Zen Cart, I'm thinking the latter. Example, when you order the product and it shows up on the invoice as you go through the check out process, it shows up as an item number instead of the product itself. I'm off to do some further searching.
