Sales Tax is being applied to Shipping ONLY

I just upgraded to the new version because I was getting this problem. The sales tax is only being applied to the shipping and NOT the price of the product. For example: the Subtotal is $115.95, UPS Ground shipping is $4.95 and the sales tax (at 7%) is $0.35.

Are your products marked as Taxable goods?

Is the priority on the tax set to 1?

What zone is taxable?

Did you complete the details of the Tax, zones, rates, etc.

The products are marked as Taxable Goods at priority 1. Only Georgia is taxable and the tax rate is 7.000%.

And you are positive all of your products have the field products_tax_class_id in the products table set to the right value for your Taxable Goods?

Ajeh, that may be it. I defined Taxable Goods in the Tax Class section but never selected Taxable Goodsin the Tax Class of each product. Hopefully, everything will work smoothly now. Thanks.
