Please help! Can't get rid of chmod 644 warning

Just installed Zen-cart. My configure.php in admin/includes and /includes/ are both chmod 644. Why/how do I get rid of this warning? I can't even get passed this step...thanks

On some servers you sometimes have to set the permissions lower than 644 for the warning to disappear. Give 400 a try.

just chmoded to 400 and it still appears :(

i try 444 and it bounces back to 644

What are you using to do the chmod?

Some FTP programs have problems on some servers.

Try using the file manager in your server control panel.

If that fails too, you may have to ask your host why you cannot make the changes.

I logged in with SSH and was able to chmod successfully. You're right, it was an issue with my FTP program. That's weird. Never had this occur before. I'm gonna ask my host what's up now. thanks again
