Adding products_date_available field in product_listing.php

I want to add the field 'products_date_available' from 'products' table in my product listing. I'm able to do that in product_all_listing or in featured list, but when i navigate through categories, the underlying file product_listing.php is used, and i cannot seem to get value of field 'products_date_available' on that page. I am not getting the value from the query, and don't know where the query for this certain page lies, changing which should get me my field value.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: Adding products_date_available field in product_listing.php

Try going into the Admin page.

Select Catalog > Product Types

then find the one you are using. (probably general)

and select the 'Edit Layout' Button

should have all the options you are looking for.

good luck...

Re: Adding products_date_available field in product_listing.php

Above would be to have certain fields on the product info page. I already have the field available there. I can even make it available in All/New/Featured Lists. The only problem is that i can't seem to get value in the list that appears when you're navigating through categories. Thanks again.
