Download zip products

I sell digital products for direct download. Everything is working fine, but when the customers click the download button they are being asked to save a html file - but it is a zip file, and it is downloaded as a zip file.

What is wrong in my setting.

windows or unix server?

filename has not spaces or special characters and just the one period for the extention?

You see just the filename on the Attribute and the green dot? You do not have this in a subdirectory?

What size is the file?

You loaded it to /download

You set redirect on if on unix and /pub to 777

If not on unix, redirect is OFF and /pub is 755

Maybe it would be easyer for you to help me if I gave you the address to my store....

10 to 1 your zip files are over 8meg ... and most likely the limit imposed on your site by your hosting company is 8meg ...

Are you able to add a small tiny zip of 100k and get that to work properly?

If so, speak to your hosting site and ask them to increase your limit on your site ...

Also note your site is terribly slow ... customers will be very impatient and go elsewhere ...

You also need to install the Zen Cart Free Charger as a Payment Module to handle the Free Products ...

I cannot complete a checkout as there isn't a valid Payment Method ...

I've now tried with a smaller file, and this time I get the "zip" option if I want to open or save. If I choose open, the file is empty. If I choose save, it automatically shows as html file - but it gets saved as a zip file.

I do not get this.

What size is the file? from about 25 - 100 mb

You loaded it to /download: yes

You set redirect on if on unix and /pub to 777 - this Im not sure of - since I have a different server - but it is on an pub is set to 777. Maybe I sold try to change this.

If not on unix, redirect is OFF and /pub is 755

I've fixed it :) - or that is you fixed it by making me check my settings once more.
