Setting discounts for individual items

Hi everybody,

Sorry for a trivial question, but I cannot find a section where to specify products with discounts. I am not talking about quantity discounts, but a simple ocasional sale. Let's say I want to specify a special price for some products valid for a week or so.

What is the simplest way of doing this?
