v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

Just signed up with authorize.net for use with ZenCart 1.3.6 on Proms to Beaches in sig.

Cannot get either module - authorize.net or authorize.net AIM - to work on live test. Not using test mode; using a 10 cent live product for testing.

Only trying one module install at a time.

Latest was just authorize.net (first module at top).

Error message in red at Zen Cart, page 2 of payment information:

Your credit card was declined. Please try another card or contact your bank for more info.<<<

Other error message, with AIM:

This transaction has been declined - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance.<<<

Tried two different credit cards/Zen Cart logins: Credit Cards are good.

Here is Zen Cart Admin Payment Module info:

Credit Card Test Info:

CC#: 4111111111111111
Expiry: Any

Enable Authorize.net Module

Get General Error status at authorize.net login.

Several phone calls with authorize.net, they say problem is with Zen Cart.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

PS: The manual Credit Card module works fine (the one where you get rest of CC info in email.)

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

Check on authorizenet site that you can processes a manual order ...

Next, make sure that you have the credit cards you accept marked in the Configuration ... Credit Cards ...

Then, make sure that you have curl installed on your server for the AuthorizeNet AIM ... this is the better one to use ...

Then make sure your site is secure ... AuthorizeNet does not work with unsecure checkout ...

Make sure on your API Login ID and Transaction Key to cut and paste it vs type it to avoid errors ...

Often times, remaking your Transaction Key will fix this ...

Thanks, Ajeh. Our site is secure SSL (@ hostgator).

I'll try your other ideas in the morning.

JUST POINTING OUT MANUAL ZEN CART MODULE WORKS, NOT USING AT AUTHORIZE.NET

CHECK

Then, make sure that you have curl installed on your server for the AuthorizeNet AIM ... this is the better one to use ...

CHECK - ENABLED @ HOSTGATOR PER ZC ADMIN/VERSION

Then make sure your site is secure ... AuthorizeNet does not work with unsecure checkout ...

CHECK

Make sure on your API Login ID and Transaction Key to cut and paste it vs type it to avoid errors ...

CHECK

TRIED

Well, it seems to work in the Test Mode. I set for Test Mode at authorize.net and in Zen Cart module. I get to the "Success/Thank You" page at Zen Cart. Order appears in Zen Cart My Account/order history.

When go live with 10 cent test product - authorize.net AIM - still return to page 2 of checkout at Zen Cart, red warning message:

This transaction has been declined - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance.<<<

Something is preventing a Live transaction either with Zen Cart or Authorize.net or both.

More thoughts?

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

Edit the ZC settings in your AIM module to turn on the "Enable Database Storage".
Then try a transaction.
Then use phpMyAdmin to look at the result codes stored in the authorizenet table in your database... it should explain more information about what's wrong.

Can you physically make a transaction on the AuthorizeNet site?

DrByte,

Did it. Test transaction using authorize.net AIM. Didn't see anything jumping out indicating problem in database.

So went through the authorize.net rows, using "Browse distinct values." Here are some results (edited out some info):

Not sure what else to look for in database.

Oh, now slightly different ZC warning message, p.2 of checkout:

This transaction cannot be accepted. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance.

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

Ajeh,

You're on to something!

My sister (store owner) tried three times with two different credit cards at authorize.net. Transactions were declined.

Looks like problem is most likely at authorize.net.

Only thing: Sister says on support guy on phone there is pretty surly....

We'll see what happens.

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

In my experience, their tech support is usually pretty good, as well as friendly.

You said "test mode" works but Production mode does not ... are you sure your account is in "production" mode on their end ?

My sister spoke with another authorize.net tech person today, and this one was very helpful and seemed to immediately know what was wrong. (The surly guy claimed it was a Zen Cart issue.)

Looks like our credit card rep may have not set up our authorize.net account properly...missing account info or something. Hope this resolves issue. We'll see.

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

Authorize.net AIM is working now on our ZC. Our account was not set-up correctly at authorize.net. No fault of ZC v1.3.6.

Thanks for the responses!

Thanks for letting us know it wasn't a Zen Cart issue with your AuthorizeNet module.

Re: v1.3.6 - My Authorize.net not working

I am reporting back the exact same errors, tried almost all different settings. Same return in ZC Production and ZC Test mode. Just got off the phone with Authorize.net and they blamed zen cart.

funny enough, i just bailed out on an OSC cart, and it was too giving me the same errors.

I'm calling Authorize.net back....
