Can an attribute be displayed in Cart sidebox?

In my candleshop I have for example:

Category = Classic
Product = Choice of votive, tea light, jar, etc.
Attribute = select quantity (set of 6) --> select scent -->add to cart.

Only problem is though is in the sidebox shopping cart, it shows the category vs. particulars of a product.

Right now "1 classic 12 - 15 hour votive" is showing. Is there a way for the scent attribute to be added? So that, at a glance a customer can see they ordered:

1 Classic Jar - Apple Crisp
1 Classic 12 - 15 Hour Votive - Blueberry

rather than going back to the Shopping Cart Checkout page for that info. This is very important for my Samplers especially as right now a person can mix and match their scents for a total minimum quantity and hopping back and forth for 12 different scents will be a bear.

Thanks in advance.

site is http://www.chandlerlane.com

Re: Can an attribute be displayed in Cart sidebox?

  1. Choose your first scent selection from the drop down box.
  2. Change quantity in Add To Cart box to your desired quantity.
  3. Click Add To Cart".
  4. You will be shown your sub-total. Verify your quantity and choose the "Continue Shopping" option at the bottom of the page and repeat the process until you have met the minimum quantity for your chosen package. Your scent selections can also be viewed in your shopping cart box to the right in the vertical menu.
I think that this issue was asked before????

A more elagant solution would be to add 5 more "attribute names" with each having the same "attribute values" to your samplers. You would then end up with 6 drop down selections on the same page and a customer would only have to select their scents 6 times, one in each drop down all on the same page. No jocking back and forth to the cart and I suppose that you already have the minimum set to 6 in the product decription page for validating that the minimum has been met.

it would look something like this:

Set of 6 (Classic):
@ Scent 1 (Drop Box)
@ Scent 2 (Drop Box)
@ Scent 3 (Drop Box)
@ Scent 4 (Drop Box)
@ Scent 5 (Drop Box)
@ Scent 6 (Drop Box)

your instruction would then be something like:

  1. Choose your six scent selections from the drop down boxes.
  2. When six have been selected click Add To Cart".
  3. You will be shown this item in the cart, verify that your scent selection are correct and continue shopping or checkout.

I hope that I have been clear enough in describing this change if not PM me.
