Second image not showing large in blow-up

Hi folk,

In a few caes I have a second image for my greeting cards. They've been uploaded just like the regular images, like so...

images/image.jpg
images/image1.jpg
images/medium/image_MED.jpg
images/medium/image_MED1.jpg
images/medium/image_LRG.jpg
images/medium/image_LRG1.jpg

The regular images all appear small in lists, medium on the product page and large when I click to see a larger image in the blow-up window. But the second images show small on the product page and small in the blowup window.

When I check the page source of the blow-up window, it says...
<img src="images/image1.jpg"
...so it's not even trying to get the large one.

Have I missed a setting somewhere in admin? Or do I need to customize something?

The images are not correct:

images/image.jpg
images/image1.jpg
images/medium/image_MED.jpg
images/medium/image_MED1.jpg
images/medium/image_LRG.jpg
images/medium/image_LRG1.jpg

First, there is only 1 MED image per product ...

Large images go in the /images/large directory ...

Naming of images should follow a pattern:

images/image.jpg
images/image_01.jpg
images/medium/image_MED.jpg
images/large/image_LRG.jpg
images/large/image_01_LRG.jpg

I just forgot to edit what I copied and pasted while posting the question.

So you're saying I won't get a medium size for my second image? Okay, I can live with that I guess.

And it looks like I should have named the large ones with the number before the LRG, is that it? I'll give that a try right now. ..........

Could you perhaps look at the changes I made to your images and the examples in the thread I posted for the calicocat images and see if that helps you see the patterns better? :smile:

I did look at your examples, and I did read that thread. And I did change my large image file names so that they worked. I guess I didn't make that clear in my last post. My problem was that I had added the number at the end of the file name rather than before the LRG. When I corrected that everything worked.

I am having trouble also I guess Im thinking this is more automated. So help me understand I first have permissions to show more than one item in the admin. I have example image
images/prey.jpg
images/medium/prey_MED.jpg
images/large/prey_LRG.jpg

Now when I set up the Product Images I set the first up with images/prey.jpg but then I get a small images everywhere. If I use the drop down to medium and then add the file it makes the image large everywhere although it is sized small it is the large image compressed which slow down loading. Can you help me see what I am missing? Thanks

It looks to me (I'm not an expert) that you have things set up correctly. But you say that you see the small image everywhere?

You should see the small image in any list of products. Then when you click one of those to go to the product page, you should see the medium image there. And it should say right under that medium image "larger image". Do you see that? If so, when you click the medium image (or the "larger image" text below it) you should get a pop-up page with the large image in it.

If that's not happening for you, we'll need more information. Tell us what you see, provide a URL so we can see it too, tell us what version of zen cart you're using, and so on. Somebody here will know what to do.
