B2B & Drop Shipper Wish List

I currently have a store running on CRELoaded v6.15. While checking CRE v6.2 features for their B2B Pro Upgrade (I need to upgrade to free v6.2 Standard anyway), I discovered that the B2B Pro Upgrade does not properly handle wholesale pricing in Ontario because it exempts the purchaser from all taxes. Wholesale customers in Canada must pay the federal GST even though their purchases are provincial retail sales tax exempt. Comparison of CRELoaded Products.

As I was investigating B2B options, I discovered that Zen-Cart already has quantity discounts built-in along with add-in modules for dual pricing and tax exemption. Unfortunately, the tax exemption module still has bugs in it. If it weren't for the bugs, I'd switch to Zen-Cart immediately.

Since I run a business that relies on drop shipping product from factories and other wholesalers, it would be great if the e-commerce software could record the warehouse of that product and the warehouse's preferred shipping method so that orders could be dispatched from the various dropping warehouses as if they originated from one of my multinational warehouses.

Let's say that my business in located in Niagara Falls, Ontario but I buy my widgets from a wholesaler in New York state who prefers UPS. Ideally, a customer in California should have their order shipped directly from the NY wholesaler's warehouse. However, to minimize brokerage charges for a Saskatchewan customer (so as to be competitive with bigger online retailers), I want to maintain a warehouse in Niagara Falls with goods shipped to me the cheapest way possible so I can then ship individual orders within Canada most economically (eg Canada Post).

Since I'm already using good e-commerce software, it would be great if Zen-Cart had a lot of the built-in functions of CRELoaded, but with some enhancements:

• retail & wholesale pricing
• tax exemption for wholesale customers- collect tax exemption number
• allow tax exemption for that particular level of taxation
• drop shipping capability from multiple multinational warehouses
• show taxes separately because business customers don't need to do extra math for their accounting purposes
• sales report
• show period sales summary of each item & each order
• show individual levels of taxes collected to simplify my book-keeping
• image handler is an excellent feature & should be integrated into currect release. CRELoaded seems to have regressed with their image handling.
• FAQ Module/Information Manager is an excellent feature & should be integrated into the current release
• Easy Populate of the product catalog. Download to an excel spreadsheet, update prices etc, and then upload to back up to catalog. This would also make it easier to convert CRELoaded sites to Zen-Cart sites.
• Agreement to conditions of purchase at checkout. For liability protection.I think these features would be useful to others besides me. For those of us who aren't programmers, integrating the other really useful downloads into the current release would would be very helpful as well.
