Setting up Paypal in 1.3.6

I've followed the instructions in the setting up a Paypal IPN but have two questions:

  1. When finished on the Paypal side -- I get this Message "You have successfully saved your preferences. Please use the following identity token when setting up Payment Data Transfer on your website. 0tqGl3FC4DPTGbpu7Isivi0CZ7qnqOl6bqCj-CIxb1vol2D1SXXXxxxXXXx -- however that totally confuses me as I see no when in the setting that up where that code is required.

  2. In the "Web Site Setting Up PReferences" of the Zencart instructions, I see no instructions on how I should have answered "Payment Data Transfer (optional)

Payment Data Transfer allows you to receive notification of successful payments as they are made. The use of Payment Data Transfer depends on your system configuration and your Return URL. Please note that in order to use Payment Data Transfer, you must turn on Auto Return."

I answered yes -- should that be a yes or no? That part went right over my head.

Kool and thanx for the quick reply. I might suggest Zen Cart includes that in the instructions as it might avoid dumbasses like me getting confused and making the wrong choice. ;)

Re: Setting up Paypal in 1.3.6

Did you test any PayPal transactions to determine whether any of those settings had any effect on whether payments would be processed?
I'd be interested in knowing the results.
