I am beyond lost

I understand mostly everything when it comes to my site and getting the products loaded. BUT what I don't understand is how to edit my pages like the index page. When I went to tools/define pages then main pages I get this message about permission:

Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/all1029/public_html/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_main_page.php

Can someone in plain english help a newbie figure out how to change her permissions so I can change my home page. Thanks so much! My only other question for right now is how can I change in the I really don't know what you call it. Header, title, web thing where it says Zen cart! I would like it to say my business name, this wasn't hard where I had my other website lol, don't know how to do it here. Thanks!

use your ftp client
login to the server
navigate to the file listed
includes/languages/english/html_includes

hightlight the entire folder.

right click hit properties

set to 777

hit save

hit the box to set these permissions for all files and subfolders

hit go

all done

for the other there is a whole series of how tos in the wiki

sounds easy enough...I hope thanks so much will let you know in the morning if I still don't get it.

ok I got the permissions changed and I found the folder in the ftp to change the COngrats you have blah blah but I really seriously just don't understand how I do this:
Save the edited file to includes/languages/ENGLISH/CUSTOM/index.php and upload it to your server.

sigh thanks for your help...wish I was better at this but I'm not at least I am learning

you need to take a look in the wiki for creating a template,
there is also a download available that hass all the folders that you MIGHT need for a custom template and instructions for what files go in each

ok I hope I am asking this right. In the information box there is a Conditions of use link. Can someone in plain english explain to me how to get this link to say Terms of Use instead. Also how do I remove some of the links not needed right now. I am trying to learn and read a lot so I don't have to ask so many questions but I just don't understand these 2 things. Thanks for your time and helping another newbie.
