Product description in product more info in html format but not in product listing?

Hello fellow Zenners

Will someone please explain to me why it is, that when i enter a product description in html it only displays as plain text on the product - listing pages?

It displays correctly on the product - more info pages though.

Thank you

Re: Product description in product more info in html format but not in product listing?

Because Zen Cart is designed that way. The product listings are designed to be a short concise listing and added HTML can break the table layout and add complications to the page.
