My PayPal IPN orders aren't coming through

New customer signs up
First name=Sal
Last name=D'Angelo
This customer places order, checks out with PayPal, PayPal sends us confirm of payment, payment is showing in our PayPal acct.

Problem:
We get no:

1. new customer added status email
2. New order status email
3. no order is present in admin-customers-orders

Only thing we can think is the apostrophe hosed all this?

I have edited the customer record, removed the apostrophe, credited the PayPal back, and asked the customer to pls reorder, explaining what happened.

I couldn't find this as being reported yet? if not the apostrophe, maybe something else?
Lets hope my customer reorders, so we know whats up.

Which version of Zen Cart are you using?

BTW, noticed the subject switch......my senario is NOT a problem with PayPal IPN, as that was the ONLY thing that came thru.

Also, since I posted I tested a dummy user with an apostrophe in the last name, all went thru as it should .........puzzeled............

Apostrophe's should all be accounted for in v1.3.x

Symptoms 2 & 3 are indicative of the PayPal IPN return notifications from PayPal not completing properly. The order will NOT show in your Admin if the PayPal notification cannot reach your server to release it. Hence the topic change.

Getting an email from PayPal only indicates that the customer paid for their order. What you're still missing is letting PayPal talk to your site to release your order. The troubleshooting guide I linked to earlier talks about the things you need to do to troubleshoot this.
