No category images on main page

I know I'm probably missing something really simple, but I just can find it. I have the switch in admin/config/layout settings/ categories-always show on main page set to 1, but no images are showing on the main page.

I'm using 1.36 and also have betterycategories installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

have you set up an image for the category in admin

This is done through the admin --> catalog--> categories and products and then edit the category. There is a space to upload/select category image.

Same thing here...was working but I turned something off when installing a new template and can't find it to put it back.

Go to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... in you Zen Cart Admin and in the bottom input box enter:
tpl_modules_category_row.php

select Catalog ... click Search ...

Has the require for this file been commented out or removed?

It found the file in the default template. Should I put one in my custom template? Something else? Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I did the above and the require is still there but no image showing up in category just the description.

If the code has not been altered, then go to the Configuration ... Product Listing ... and check the setting on:

Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating
Show Sub-Categories on Main Page while navigating through Categories

0= off
1= on
