Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

Me again! I installed link manager on another cart on the same server with the same mods and this one is giving me a error message when creating a new link in admin.

Next to status it says:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class queryFactoryResult could not be converted to string in /srv/www/vhosts/xxxxxx/httpdocs/admin/includes/functions/html_output.php on line 333

I reuploaded the admin files and don't see why I would be getting an error and this error message is a little technically beyond me. I don't actually know what it means!

What php version is being used on the server?

try this:

Just unzip the file and upload the entire admin folder to your server;

Yep, and I think you must have a links manager version without the fix for this.

The most recent version (which the file you just added is from) fixes this php5 issue.

Hi Clyde and thanks again for the help, but unfortunately it didn't work. I think I will let be. Don't look that bad anyway. There is another problem though. When you submit a link and it take you to the success page my sideboxes is everywhere on that page. If you will Clyde, submit a link and see what I'm talking about please.
Thank you again

I installed this today and I am having the same problem. Mod seems to work great other than this.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

It has something to do with the template you're using (except I can't remember exactly what the problem was)

You might want to check with "countrycharm" and see how it was resolved.

Try this fix and see if it makes a difference.

Unzip the file, Rename the YOUR_TEMPLATE folder to match your custom template name and upload the entire includes folder to your server.

That did the trick! Thank you very much for the mod and the module.

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

JeffM:

One other question... sorry!

On the display links page, the Title and Description are right up against each other. How can I space that a bit?

See here:

http://www.educatorsbookbag.com/store/index.php?main_page=links&lPath=2

Thanks!

Not sure what the difference is, but this looks fine:

www.educatorsbookbag.com/store/index.php?main_page=links&lPath=4

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

JeffM:

Yes, one category (homeschooling) works nicely, but the Teacher Sites category eats it up.

http://www.educatorsbookbag.com/store/index.php?lPath=2&main_page=links

Try this:

open the links.css stylesheet and find the following:

.productListing-odd .linkListing-data{padding:5px;font-size:1em;color:#000;}

change it as indicated by the highlighted portion:

.productListing-odd .linkListing-data {width:33%;padding:5px;font-size:1em;color:#000;}

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

Small bug, when you mouseover the admin menu bars, they do not drop down if you are in the link manager. Works while in "Links Categories" and "Links Contact" but not for "Links"
I have same issue posted on post 358. This is on IE6. With FF it does do the dropdown but with a line underneath it. I haven't checked IE7.

When you go in admin to the links page to add, edit, delete individual links (and you see the list); when you put the mouse over the admin menu the dropdown hover doesn't show up. You have to click on any of the menues to get out of that page and then (even with the menu bug when you do that) go to where ever you want to go.
