Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

Tot 2 Teen:

Okay, I've upgrade, but I have the same issues as before. Maybe this will help....what I forgot to tell you is when I try to delete a submitted link, the software asks me to confirm and why I do, it sends me to the main admin page. Any more thoughts?

Try downloading and installing the updated patch from this thread

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

I have a strange issue with Links Manager. I just installed it and checked out the sample link. I edited that link and saw everything okay on the page. Then I went to insert a link. For some reason, the page is truncated at Options section, only displaying the word Status:. Nothing shows after that.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you, jim

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

There are no error messages. I even re-uploaded the links.php file but that didn't help. You would think that if it displayed fine for the edit mode, then it should be okay for the add mode.

Have you applied the most recent "admin security patch"

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

Hi All,

I am having problems with displaying the Title/Description on my links, just as others have already noted they are squashed to one side. I have loaded all the fixes I could find including,

dzynzs_fix
starruby_fix
html_output_admin

still I have the same problem.

I have read all the threads and replies with no luck on a fix.

I have renamed my admin but have not installed the new security patch as yet, I want to get this working first, unless it is recommended to install it first?

Please be aware I'm newly converted to zencart altho I have used oscommerce for the last two years.

my links page is here should someone wish to see what is happening

Thanks for the great work everyone has put into this contribution.

I look forward to your replies.

Bruce

unzip the file and upload the links.php file to your admin folder.

Of course after applying the fix you will need to edit your links (the description portion) and update them

Hi Clyde,

Thanks so much for your prompt reply and help.

I have uploaded the new file to my admin and all is good now thank you...

I also have noticed that when I view your test link in admin(edit link), the description area box is wider than the one when I go to the add a new link area(if you get what I am trying to say). I have attached a screen shots just in case.

I am baffled why one is different to the other, altho it's not a big issue I just thought to let you know.

Sorry for the trouble, your assistance is greatly appreciated

Bruce

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

After uploading the security patch and changing my admin name. I cannot approve any links or update, or add any links in my admin, when I try to update, the screen jumps back to home admin.

I just uploaded it again from the link you supplied, and its still doing the same thing. I have Simple SEO, Dual pricing,
there is not problem with them, but will they affect the links manager.

I'm using the latest security update as well and have no problem with link manager.

Make sure you are using/ uploaded ALL the files from the security update including admin/includes/functions/html_output.php

Re: Link Manager 3.0 Support Thread

Hi Clyde:

I have your Links Manager set up to not require reciprocal links on showcased websites powered by Arcadem Pro.

When I do this however, I get error:
Warning: file() [function.file]: Filename cannot be empty in[absolutepath to my directory]/[myadmin]/links.php on line 631

How can I turn that off when certain categories are selected? I want to enforce reciprocal links on all the rest.
