moved folders, now admin doesn't work

I recently had all my folders stored in public_html/cart etc.
I copied them all to the main directory. Now if I go to admin and try to define pages editor it doesn't show changes. it says it is editing the file that was in the original cart folder.

How should I have moved them to the main directory? I ask because when I deleted the original files in the cart folder it caused all sorts of chaos. I pu tthem back but now I have two lots of admin and I've had to set up a whole heap of redirect pages because people can still get to the original pages at www.icklebits.co.uk/cart rather than just www.icklebits.co.uk if you get me.

Where is the updated pages going when I use the admin?

I don't know if i'm making alot of sense as I'm new to this whole thing. I've scoured the forum using all sorts of search terms but am none the wiser.

Help please!

Thanks in advance!

We recommend using the "cache" folder inside the Zen Cart folder // ie: /path/to/your/webspace/public_html/zen/cache -- leave no trailing slash define('SQL_CACHE_METHOD', 'database'); define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/ar01ickl/public_html/cart/cache'); ?>

I don't know what all the above means but I can already see a line with "cart" in it! Will getting rid of that solve it? Can't wait for your answer!

Thank you!

Re: moved folders, now admin doesn't work

Will do that thanks. is there any other files that I would need to edit to totally sever the link between the copy (the one i want) and the old version in the cart folder?

(Am working on the config now, will let you know!)

Thanks!

Re: moved folders, now admin doesn't work

Right. Have done that but now the sideboxes have gone. I've checked that section in admin and it says that they are on.

Any ideas? Am panicking!

Thanks.
