Sales Report 2.0 b104 parse error after installing

After installing the sales report, I get this error message when I test it:

PHP Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end in ...\admin\stats_sales_report.php on line 1187

(the ... represents my local install test directory)

Can anyone tell me what's wrong here?

Re: Sales Report 2.0 b104 parse error after installing

Are you installing in 1.3.6 or 1.3.7?

I am not sure if it is compatible with 1.3.7, that could be your problem.

PHP Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end in ...\admin\stats_sales_report.php on line 1187

Can someone post the lines: 1186, 1187, 1188 from the script?
Much easier to troubleshoot when we know what we are dealing with. :wink2:

No, I installed it in 1.3.6... It's WORKING on my LIVE site, where PHP 4.4.4 and MySQL 4.0.25 is being used, but it will NOT run on my LOCAL copy, which is running PHP 5.2.0 and MySQL 5.0.27.

It won't run on the newer versions at all, but since the LIVE site is working, I decided not to chase after the solution.

Re: Sales Report 2.0 b104 parse error after installing

Just in case anyone bumps into this again... I had the same problem and it's an easy fix (although hard to find at first). Some lines have <? instead of <?php and that seems to screw things up in the newer PHP versions (more strict with that).

So... I think its line 693 and 1029 that need changing. If not, look around those (in case you did some editing and numbers changed).

Cheers
