catalog from another site

Is it possible set the shopping cart up to run on another sites page or for it to be recognized if an order was to come from another site for that site to earn a commission from selling things found on an original site? In other words, if I set up the cart on a main site and someone was to put a link and buy an item from another site, can the cart tell me where the sale came from?

Maybe I need to word this different. If someone else wants to sell stuff off my cart, how would I be able to set it up so that I know where the sale came from so that they could get a commission?

I think that there is an affiliate module in the downloads section that may assist in this

Looked through the downloads, but maybe I didn't see it or firgure the name right. Hopefully someone else knows if its there or how to do it.

It is in the "Archive" on the downloads area and older and may need tweaking
