Is anyone on GoDaddy and running fast?

My site runs slow with barely any inventory. They basically told me they're server/hardware, so they can't help me.

I'm running 1.3.6 fresh install. I wanted to know if anyone had success stories with GoDaddy's shared hosting. How did you optmize the app/dB so that it's super quick? I'm about ready to switch, but since I'm paid up for another 7 months, I wanted to give them another chance.

Tell them get you on a less overloaded server or you want your money back ...

I have sites with 1000s of products on them that run faster than your's do without an issue ...

There is really no excuse for the slow downs your site is displaying ... they don't even make sense the ways the pages render and the times ...

They will most likely attempt to sell you a higher, more costly service, one that most small to mid sized shops do not need and an expenditure that is un-necessary if on a service that is configured for database intensive applications like Zen Cart.

Hopefully others with experience with GD can give you more of their personal insight.

I had the same issue, called them and they gave me the upgrade run around. I eventualy switch my websites that used database to smaller hostsing companies. I suggest camelot-hosting.com. They are zen cart certified and have great tech support. I have yet to see my clients sites run slow. As for my other sites I am fine running flash and simple html sites on godaddy... thats pretty much all they are good for. When it comes to hosting you kinda get what you pay for...

Oh and godaddy doesnt run cpanel which is very useful. There control panel is some custom piece of crap that doesnt let you do much of anything.
