This should be simple...

Hiya all,

I'm trying to get the checkout button to resolve to index.php?main_page=shopping_cart INSTEAD of going straight to Log in/create account page and change the heading "The shopping cart contains;". Where do I define that button's action and change the text of the page?

The idea is to confirm their order 1st and give the customer a phone # to call in their order on that page, but after days of looking for the redirect parameters and digging thru the files, I'm getting a bit frustrated. And I have searched the forum, wiki and docs quite extensively, the closest I found was a thread on removing the log in/create account page and the 1 page check out, doesn't help.

I'd also like to remove shipping estimator button and change the text heading of the shopping cart side box to "Your Order" but the above issue is of much greater importance right now...any pointers would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks in advance and happy 2007.

This is a sessions issue and you must be logged in to proceed. What you are trying to do is "Not require login" to buy and Zen Cart does not allow this. Others have tried and you can search the forum for this and see the results but I have not seen any that are stable

Re: This should be simple...

At this point I don't even want them buying from the site, I want them to prepare their order and then order over the phone, local pick up and local delivery, until the vendor is ready to process online orders and has production streamlined enough to handle it.

Can the cart be "fooled" into thinking the user is logged in? Or comment out all the fields on the log in page and include the shopping cart main page info?
Thanks DJ

Again you are asking how to defeat the login requirement....Proceed at your own risk
