Make X sell appear Horizontial not Vertical?

right now my xsell products are appearing vertically, one top of each other, I want them to appear side by side. I installed the mod for making the product display appear as columns but how do you get the X sell to do the same?

I did try that, but it doesnt make the cross sell side by side, it just centers it.

I've tried editing:

includes/templates/template_default/common/tpl_columnar_display.php

includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

and several other files that might have to do with the layout of the page. I also tried adding the suggested code to my CSS file, but nothing happened. Any additional ideas?

I think I'm going to start with step 1 of the install and go over everything again and see what I can come up with. Maybe try moving the CSS code someplace else other than where I have it.

In the meantime, if anyone has a suggestion, please feel free to post it. I'm refreshing the screen to see the replies ASAP.

It worked for putting my products in categories horizontal, but my x-sell products are still vertical.

Not worth the time right now. I think I'll just skip this mod for now and just concentrate getting my store up and operational. I've worked myself into a headache, tried the 2 suggestions and still can't figure it out. Thanks for the help though.

Did all your products revert to column display instead of rows or just the Cross Sell items?

I'm asking as I have done all suggestions I have found thus far, and the heading goes way to the right, the items are stacked on top of each other, etc.

I've created new classes, gotten rid of old ones, tried changing the class in the modules file, and everything in between and it still looks awful.

I turned off the column mod and my proudcts still layout horizitionally, I dont know what I did but it still works.

thats weird. My cross sell items are displayed in rows. not on top of each other unless there are 6 of them. yours are displaying on top of each other? Thats so strange. Maybe someone out there will have a fix.

I even tried the stylesheet fix that Ajeh posted the link to on page 1 with no luck.
