Removing product Weight & Quantity

I thought i knew this since i just did it on my other cart but its not working how do i get the shipping weight and quantity on hand not to show in the product listing when you click on the product it shows you and i thought in the admin section you change it to 0 and i did and thats not working

For the Product _info pages set the settings in the Catalog ... Product Types ... click on a Product Type and click Edit Layout ...

For the Listings ... Click on the Configuration ... Index Listing ... or New Listing ... or All Listing ... or Featured Listing ...

For the Shopping Cart Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and then there are settings in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...
