State Drop down menu turn off shows up

I have the state drop down turned off in the Customer details but no matter what you do when you get to the My Account Information page it shows up and so does the state input box.

The cart was working fine up to a day or so. What would cause this setting to not be recognized?

Could be a number of things. Perhaps your server had a problem and files became corrupted?
Perhaps you installed an addon that adjusted the way the templates for that part of the code works.

That whole state-dropdown/input section was overhauled in v1.3.6.
Would be better to spend time upgrading than to try to fix code that was buggy in the first place.

Try setting up a fresh v1.3.7 and making sure it works as desired. Then apply your customizations. Then upgrade your database. Detailed upgrade instructions are in the /docs folder of the downloaded Zen Cart zip.

This is not an option. It was working fine yes, the host was changed over the weekend and who knows what they did. I am sick about this but I will not upgrade because I KNOW that the latest version does not work on this host.

How can bug fixes not work on a site?

Do you mean you want to use their Fantastico upgrader and it doesn't work? Or something else doesn't work?
