Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

firstly my apologies for the 2 blank posts above, I am posting from my phone so made a boo boo.

ok, could somebody help me out please? I have installed Testimonial Manager and it works great, thankyou!
Since then I have tried to replace the sidebox title with an image, then changed my mind.
The problem is that in internet explorer a blank image box is displayed and this causes an error log in my host control panel.
Firefox however handles it fine and does not display the empty image box.
My domain is https://www.shabbylane.co.uk
All help is much appreciated.

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

The module is just wonderful.
Started working from day one without any hiccups.

However, I want to show the testimonials on the product info page. How can I make this happen?

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

Hi i love this addition, however i have a problem. I dont see where to delete and add testimonials in the admin section. I have the layout box controller enabled and can see testimonial options in the configuration, but in admin->Tools->(nothing here). I went through the files twice to make sure i added them correctly, but i can't find any missing files.

I didn't paist the code for the slq file i just located it, & add it, i hope that's not the problem, also my site is offline with wamp server. Pls help thanks.

I'm no expert but did you re-name the approprite YOUR THEME folders to suit your own theme?
Secondly, copy and paste the UNINSTALL sql file within your admin area, restart processes in WAMP then copy and paste the INSTALL sql file into admin install sql box.
give that a go and post back.

I guess I wasn't heard. Hence no replies.

Is there a way that these testimonials can be shown on the Product Information Page.

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

Great mod which I use on our main site.
Have just installed new version on a new site I am working on where testimonials is going to be a key marketing strategy where images are really important.

Is there a way to turn off the image on the sidebox. When I set the image size within the Config options to a larger size so they can be seen on the Testimonial page, it uses this size for the Sidebox as well and it spills out over the side.

If I make the image small enough to fit in the sidebox, then it is too small to be effective within the testimonial page.

Ideally, we could have thumbnail on the sidebox and larger when they click the see the whole thing BUT if I have to make a choice, would rather turn the image OFF on the sidebox and use a larger size on the main page.

Can someone point me in the right direction on this please. Everything else is working properly.

cheers
Leah

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

I looked through the description here: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=446

Does anyone know if you have to ability to moderate or remove negative feedback with this add-on? I have a client who wants to install this add-on but she doesn't want negative feedback (if there are any) to appear on her website.

Thanks in advance.

you have an admin panel which allows you to verify, edit and switch testimonials on and off.

If you have any questions or troubles with this module in the near future we will have to figure them out ourselves due to Clyde resent death. We will all miss him very much.

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

Hello All,
I do understand that Clyde will not be contributing to the thread any more. :(
I am sure that as a valued member of the community he would not want his work slipping into obscurity.

Does anyone know of a programmer capable of taking over any modules that will need upgraded to work on Zen Cart v.1.5

Not that I could offer such a service, I am in no way a php programmer and do not understand all this GET and POST stuff anyway.

I have looked through many off the add-ons I use to see if they made use of the extra_boxes folder. As far as I understand it this is no longer used in the new version to comply with new standards.

This Mod uses extra_boxes I have no idea about the GETs and POSTs, could someone confirm that this is doable and could someone take on the task of up-dating Clydes marvelous Mods and Add-ons.

Many Many Thanks,
Billy

I am very sorry to this news. I am using Clyde's template Glacial Age. Nice template.

Recently, I installed this add-on. Sidebox is Ok, it is displaying. However, in the ADMIN side I can't find the added Testimonial Manager as it was said in the READEME file.

Anybody experienced this kind of problem?

Thank you.

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

I have Testimonials Manager running on zen cart version 1.5.0 with no problems. I have updated this module to be compatiable with 1.5.0 and will upload it when time permits. Work comes before free modules.

Re: Testimonial Manager Support Thread

If an add-on is critical to your business, you should consider investing in the service of a developer to make the updates for you.. this will probably get you going faster than waiting for someone to take on the support of some of these modules..
