Two prices at once!

Hello people,

our country is in the process of getting the € and in every shop etc.. there has to be 2 prices at once. ( € and SIT - our home courency ).
On the 1.1.2007 we changed to €, but we still have to have double pricing for the next 6 months.
I noticed that zen cart has the option for double pricing ( i think it was a module ), but that still didn't do it. Cause i still couldn't show two prices at once.

I wanted to solve the problem myself, but i'am not much of a programer and i didn't even know where to start :P

So i was wondering if one of u guys could help me start, just point me in the right direction :smile:

You can activate the currency sidebox, and then every customer can choose the currency they want to see.

That's not what Jernej is asking. The prices in both currencies have to display together. I'm surprised ZC doesn't have a mod that'll do it already. Don't give up, Jernej, I'm sure someone will have an idea how to get this done for you. You'll definitely need the mod for the cron job to get the exchange rates.

The prices need to be displayed together. This can't be ignored, its the law etc..
I only need a "jump start" :P. I did this double price thingy for other e-commerce components. So i might be able to do the same for zen cart.
I'am not sure tho.

I need to find the file where the final price is displayed. Discount prices might be a bit of a problem. We'll see.

My question then would be how to convert from SIT to EUR without having the prices change. If you update the currencies, it messes up all the prices. My prices are all pretty rounded numbers in Yen, but I want to make USD dollars default, I don't care about the pretty rounded numbers for USD.

well we had to make up new prices in EUR, i don't see any other way to be honest.
But in ur case its just a matter of converting them?
If u dont care about the pretty rounded numbers for USD.

Ty for the idea btw, but thats a comercial thingy so i'ts gonna have to be my last option and they don't seem to have SIT anyway :(
