category w/ a single product display catagory

Hi there,
I am having trouble finding the switch that sets up automatically forwarding to the product if a category only has one product in it.
This is a possible bug . as I am running ZC 1.3.7 and when I click on a category w/ only one I get a blank screen, no mark up at all.

There is a switch to take you to the Product _info page but you should either get the product _info page or the listing ...

If you have a blank ... try switching to Classic ... is it your template?

The switch is in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

If this option is set to True, then if the customer clicks on a link to a category which only contains a single item, then Zen Cart will take them directly to that product-page, rather than present them with another link to click in order to see the product.

it is working now and there really is not any need to do the reserch untill needed.

I'm running a site using Zen Cart 1.2.7. I have a category with one product. I changed the Configuration > Layout Settings> Skip 1-prod Categories = True, and I still get the Product List page (with one product) and not the product.

Is there some other setting that I'm overlooking?

This could be your template or something else not managing this correctly ...

What happens if you switch to Classic template?

Changing templates sounds drastic. The last time I did that I had to re-set all the side boxes in the Layout Boxes Controller. The site is 100% done (only waiting for merchant account info from the customer) -- I don't really want to go there. I just wondered why this one feature wasn't working. It's interesting that it could be related to templates, although I very carefully follow the template over-rides scheme.

I guess it's a moot point. My next project will be 1.3.7, and hopefully the Skip 1-prod Categories works there. I'll test as I modify the custom template to see when it stops working (if it does), and report back.

I bought the ZenCart manual. Hopefully, it will ease the learning curve from 1.2.7 to 1.3.7.
