Postage based on weight and country

we have a requirement for one of our customers to be able to set different prices for postage depending on how much a product weights and where its going... have worked on this for ages with many differnet modules just cant get head around the logic.

Hopefully someone can explain it for us..

How many different rate zones will be required?

Use the admin > modules > Shipping Modules > Zone Rates > set the countries and the rate table

Also check by weight and set your tables up by weight

I recall that this natively accomodates 3 zones...you can search here for the procedure to expand on this
