Book and Media Online Sales -

I'm working on a site that will sell books and other media products Online.

I noticed only a product for music.

Is there a mod or something that relates to books and media products?

:lamo: ISBN numbers and bar codes "lookups" are very important for media products. Like the one on Ebay where you enter an ISBN number and the data and an images loads for the book you're selling load from remote db.

It is also important to have different fields for various media products. Customers will expect a precise ISBN numbered book in most cases, even though they don't specify it. Computer technical books titles is a good example. You may see several books on the shelf with the same name, but they may each have different ISBN numbers. The author just revises the book and the publisher continues to promote the original title, noting revisions.

I'd appreciate any information or suggestions.

I installed the Auction Site Attributes module in order to gain use of the UPC and ISBN attributes.

Since I wish to use Easy Populate, I must use Product General because that is the only product type supported by Easy Populate. Therefore, I could not use the book module.

So far, I have not found the place in the attributes where the UPC or ISBN numbers reside, and I do not find any reference to those numbers in my MySQL database using PHPMyAdmin search.

Does anyone know if the UPC and ISBN fields are there and if so where? Once found, I will try to add the fields to the Easy Populate 1.2.5.4 spreadsheet fields. I'll bet this has been done by someone and posted, but I have not found such posting.

Any clues will be appreciated.

I found the UPC and ISBN numbers in the products table in PHPMyAdmin, so assume they will be under the products tab in Admin.
