Sold Out flag - how to disable

How do I turn off this flag. I have tried everything, i.e. put inventory for the item, nothing seems to work

The Configuration ... Stock Settings ... allow you to configure products with 0 quantity to be Sold Out rather than be removed from the Catalog when a products_quantity goes to <= 0 ...

If you currently see a Sold Out ... the that products_quantity is <= 0 ...

Are you tracking Stock?

Are customers allowed to checkout and order more than what is in stock?

Forgive me if I am not understanding the answer to the original thread post but does this mean you cannot disable the sold out flag. Some of my products are being drop-shipped direct from the manufacturer. As I cannot accurately keep track of available stock there is little point in pre-defining this figure.

If you need the stock tracking feature for other products then set your drop ship products to a number in stock that you won't have to worry about ... like 1000000.

Hi Kim, setting the stock figure to a very high number is certainly a work-around that will stop the sold out flag from cropping up but still does anyone know if it is possible to disable it completely rather than using this work-around. Kind regards, Mark

As Ajeh said, the settings are in configuration->stock

Specifically,

In your admin panel

configuration->stock->Show Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart
