question about uploading files to be download

I've got my site just about completed as far as the design and am getting ready to input the products. My client has "lesson plans" in .pdf format that she wants people to be able to download. After reading some threads I'm freaking out.

One lead me to believe you have to FTP the files to the server that they cannot be "uploaded" from the admin panel. Is that true??? If so, I'm screwed because my client cannot handle that.

Can someone please shed some light on this.

Thanks!

Re: question about uploading files to be download

Zen Cart does not currently have a built-in feature to upload downloadable files via the Admin interface. It relies on the storeowner transferring the files by other means, typically FTP.

Surely you can set up an FTP client with default folders pointing to logical places so she can simply drag-and-drop when she has new items to add ?

BTW ... who will be doing backups of the site ? Or is she relying on you to do that on a regularly scheduled basis for her?
