I have read some of the messages but I have a question and if some one could just answer yes or no it would be greatly appreciated.

I want to use Google Checkout. Does zencart have the ability to sub total orders add sales tax from a chart and calculate shipping based on weight?

I have only found a few shopping carts that will do this.

Yes it subtotals orders.

Yes it can calculate shipping either using USPS, UPS, FEDX, or a custom table that you define.

Tax can be calculated for your state,(most do not require tax if shipped to an out of your State address), and this can be simple to difficult depending on your State/local requirements

Please note that the Google Checkout module is still being developed.
