Update Cart button not updating cart

I'm using Zencart 1.3.7 (had same problem under 1.3.6), and the Update Cart button doesn't update the cart. The form submits, but the quantities are not updating. I'm using the button at the bottom only (state 2 in the Stock options).

I haven't changed tpl_shopping_cart_default.php at all.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've searched this forum and the documentation, to no avail.

If any code samples or the URL of the site would be helpful (I'd rather not give it out publicly yet, as it's not done but there are products up), please let me know and I'll be happy to provide them.

Yes, it works with the Classic Green template. My own template is based on the "barebones" template. The shipping estimator also is not working. What areas of the template should I check?

Okay, I compared my version of tpl_shopping_cart_default.php to the latest release version with WinMerge, and found some differences. After merging any changes involving the shopping cart form, everything works great. I'll leave this thread up for posterity. Thank you for your help.

Yes, tpl_shopping_cart_default.php had an issue as of the time I started with it (Nov. 2006). I honestly don't remember if the template had that file or it was a change I initiated. Thank you for your patient help in the face of my problems.

Thanks for this thread - I'm having the same issue - the update button is simply not working in the cart. I'll compare my template markup to the original file to see if something has changed.
