Adding to cart = 2963 Queries?

I am using zen cart primarily for the cart functionality, so I actually have links that add products directly to the cart. My site is running super slow, and I turned on the ParseTime for adding things to the cart and found

Parse Time: - Number of Queries: 2963 - Query Time: 24.708282655319

When I go to checkout, with all shipping modules turned off except Flat Rate, I found

Parse Time: 27.409 - Number of Queries: 3971 - Query Time: 27.017804817795

Is this typical? ~4000 queries to look up an address? are the load times for the cart typical?

clicking on "My Account" is super fast

Parse Time: - Number of Queries: 20 - Query Time: 0.013545955337524

but it has only 20 queries.

I have turned off everything, side boxes, side columns, banners, etc.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate the advice.

Re: Adding to cart = 2963 Queries?

Thanks for the help.

Click on http://www.yoonkids.com/test/browse.php

This page is NOT zencart, but our own product page that links into a customization page. Click Next>, then click Add To Cart>

We have about 25 products with 4-8 attributes per product. You can see the attributes and their values in the summary page before you add to cart.

That will then take the product and add it to Zen Cart.

The zen cart is NOT actually taking orders, we are still in testing, so feel free to create a user and follow the process through shipping, and order completion. I have turned off all external modules, so the only shipping module is Best Way and the only payment module is Check. So you can choose those options to complete the order.

If you could check it out, we would really appreciate the help.

We are running version 1.3.6 of zc

Re: Adding to cart = 2963 Queries?

You are attempting to use Zen Cart in a fashion that it is not intended nor usually successful at. Zen Cart is not modular and it actually appears that the major parse lag is the transition from your page to the cart page.
