How do I integrate zen cart into my page

I want to make buttons so people can add products from my page to zencart, then they click view cart and get taken to zencart, then checkout etc. How do I make buttons that add products to zencart?

Sorry, Zen Cart doesn't work that way. You'd be better off adapting your site into Zen Cart. You can't feed data to ZC.

Why not? And what is a service I could use that could do this?

Re: How do I integrate zen cart into my page

well this would be because ZEN is a complete source,

I guess you could go through and create an html page for each product, then have a link to it to take them to the zen cart so that they could add the product to the page however this sounds like alot of extra work that will require a change to each html page every time you make a product change,

where as if you incorporate your current site into zens layout then all is handled dynamicaly.

just a little food for thought

Re: How do I integrate zen cart into my page

It's going to be very difficult to find something to act as a back end. As Merlin pointed out, you're much better off using ZC as the total solution. The site in my sig started out as a bare bones HTML site. I "upgraded" it to an HTML site that used PayPal "add to cart buttons". Once I discovered ZC, I change the site over completely. It's much easier to manage stock and the site owner is very happy with the results. Just thinking about what I had to do to add one product to the HTML versions makes my head spin. :shocking:

Thanks, I was thinking about doing the paypal thing, but ya it is a lot of work to have them select the color and all that. This is some good food for thought, I'll have to figure out what I want to do.

Re: How do I integrate zen cart into my page

On another site that we didn't want to redesign, we used ecommercetemplates dot com. We integrated that into our existing site with virtually no problems.

It is running fairly smoothly but we do prefer ZenCart.

Good luck
