payments from your region

Hello,

I have a few free products at my shop to entice membership and to get the prospective buyer familiar with the automated download process. However, this message shows up at checkout.

Payment Method
Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.
Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

It does not prevent the prospect from making it to the free download but could discourage them from trying to continue. It does not occur with Pay For products using PayPal thankfully. Any idea how I might correct this for freebies?

Freebies that have no price for either shipping or payment still need a shipping module if they get sent and a payment module ...

For this circumstance there are two modules ...

Shipping Module Free Shipping freeshipper

Payment Module Zen Cart Free Charger freecharger

A Download does not need a Shipping module if setup correctly ... as in do not mark the Download as a Virtual Product nor as Always Free Shipping ... it already knows it is Free shipping and you would confuse things ...

The Payments on the other hand, do not know what to do ... so the Zen Cart Free Charger freecharger handles this ...

You can change its name to Fred's Free Charger or whatever works for you ...

NOTE: when these modules show, all other modules will vanish on their own ... when other modules show, these will vanish on their own ...

Thank you. Of course, that was so simple. I changed it to Sams Free Gift. I feel really stupid. From time to time I would get new members but they would not buy or download freebies. I was puzzled. I emailed some. They did not respond. Then I thought maybe they were spammers. Now I am thinking they just felt betrayed at that point. They gave their personal info and the freebie (the carrot) did not appear to be there. Oh my, guess I’ll send some apologies out for some of the most recent ones. Maybe I'll include a nice discount coupon for product of their choice. I fell terrible about this and it is my own fault for not doing a simple check.
