Zen Cart as CMS

Hi All

In the past I have used a standard cms and added whatever cart possible. However, I would like if possible to turn that on its head and use Zen Cart as the cms provider as well as the shop.

Will it work please? This is what I want to do:

  1. In the front page have a menu across the front that stays the same.
  2. When navigating to page two, the menu changes to..... but with the header menu still in place.
  3. When navigating to page three, the menu changes to reflect the items contained in that page, also with the header in place.
    And so on...

We're going to need about 20/30 pages.

What do you think please?

Thanks.

Rich

Re: Zen Cart as CMS

Sure, you can accomplish this.

You will have to get familiar with the template overrides system, and simply override the template for whatever page you're on to show whatever new navigation you'd like to see.

I also recommend utilizing the EZPages feature. You can create as many ezpages as you want, and you can modify them in the admin. You can also take advantage of EZpages' table of contents for your additional menus in the other pages.
