Sorry vista is not a browser.

What browser are you using (firefox, internet explorer, safari, chrome, opera)

If you are using internet explorer then click on tools (in the menu bar) then select delete browsing history

Then select temporary internet files then click the delete button

after doing this make sure you refresh the page in your browser.

Re: Comstock Template

Sorry if this has been asked before but where do you load the includes file for this template. Is it includes/template or some where else.

You upload it to the root directory of your server where you have Zen Cart installed.

Re: Comstock Template

Clyde, hate to bother you for this because I have used your templates so many times with great success. I upgraded one my site to comstock 2.02. No problems. I have test and working versions of this on several sites - again, no problems. But, to save my soul, I can not get my logo image to display on the site I just updated from ver 2.0 of Comstock. the site is www.bobkatgifts.net . One of my test sites is www.bobkatgifts.net/whimsical - it displays just fine there ????:frusty:

Here are screen shots from both sites. The logo appears to be present.

Re: Comstock Template

Hi all!
I've just started using zencart 1.3.8a and have downloaded the Comstock template....the best template I've seen by a mile :)

I've installed as per the instructions and everything seems to work but the site is left aligned rather than centered as it should be.
Also, the header image header_bg.jpg doesn't show.

I'm completely new to php so am struggling to make sense of it all!
Can anyone please take a look at my site and see if they can spot what I've done wrong?
Here's the URL http://snowrepublic.org.uk/shop/

Thanks for your help!
I'm off to have a look see if I can find some sort of php development software so I don't have to keep bothering you guys when I have a problem....wish me luck lol!

After just a quick look, it appears that the stylesheet.css is not being read correctly causing everything to be rendered incorrectly.

You might want to try uploading everything again.

Re: Comstock Template

Thanks Clyde,
I reloaded everything and the problem remained, so I removed zencart, reinstalled then uploaded comstock again but the probelm still remains.
Is there a preferred location to download the template from? Just thinking maybe I have an old version or something?

Thanks,
Damian

Re: Comstock Template

Just had a look using firefox and it is centered but still no heading image.
It looks like there may be a problem with IE8!

part of the problem may be the location of the google add stuff you have on the page.

It appears that it is located above the doctype information

and it should be located in the <head> </head> section of the page.

Re: Comstock Template

Ah, that's a forced ad by my host.
I'll see if I can find another host that doesn't force ads to test the theory!

I'll let you know how I get on.....

Re: Comstock Template

Hi again Clyde,
I've saved my page offline and removed the banner code, but it still renders the page incorrectly.
I'm having a look at the html to see if I can find what's wrong.

When I view the page source this is what I'm seeing: The highlighted portion should not be where it is. it should be located within the <head> </head> section.

Re: Comstock Template

Just saved the code offline again and moved the <head> before the <div> as you stated and when trying it again it still renders left adjusted in IE8, however it does render correctly centered in Firefox so it looks like an IE8 problem. I'll see if I can make it work in IE8 and let you know, then it's just how to get the header_bg.jpg to show in both browsers......both jobs for tomorrow though......I need a drink

Thanks for your help so far Clyde and thanks again for the template
