change more info to buy now with attributes

Hi,

On my product listing page when a product has an attribute the "more info..." link is displaying.

I just want the Buy Now button to appear even if the product has an attribute, and this can just take the user into the product info page.

Can't happen. By their nature, attributes allow a customer to adjust a product. You can't send the product right to the basket because the system can't be sure of what attributes to set.

A future version may allow you to configure attribute defaults, but until then you have to work with the "more info" link.

I think I'll just replace the "more info" text with the buy now button and just let it go the the product page. It just looks too inconsistent with more info on some and not on others.

I think I found a post about changing this somewhere else.... now to find it again. if anybody knows this please tell me.

Yes it's part of the templates. Go to Admin > Tools > Developer's Toolkit and search all files for the linked text. That will give you a good idea of what you need to override and edit.

I was looking for this same fix....and found it! In the site files go to:
includes>languages>english.php and around line 374 find this section of code:

// more info in place of buy now
define('MORE_INFO_TEXT','....more info');

Delete out the '....more info' or put in whatever you want and re-upload your files!
