NEWBIE, problem after installation

Hi, i'm a very new newbi. I've installed zen cart following instructions using latest version of zen cart. Install apache, php, mysql, all latest version. But ath last page, i click on go to store, i get a black page even when i chose to install demo version. But when i click admin, admin works fine, i can log in without a problem, But i cant vew the demo store. Tried reisntall 3 times still no solutions. Pleeeaaaseeee help me :(

Ensure all the files in the zencart folder transfered to your ftp server. I had the same problem and my FTPprogram wouldnt copy mor than 2 levels deep. I had to select each folder in Zencart folder tree and copy in to my ftp server manually

I have noticed that zen cart will not work with any php newer than 4.4.6

I have Zencart working and stable with php 5.0.1.2
