Page jumping

Looked all over the forum for " jumping " don't know how to describe it.

Sometimes, only sometimes the categories will jump out into the middle of the page while it's loading and then go back to the left.

and

the font size gets REAL big sometimes after loading VERY BAD.

You have to navigate through the pages before it happens but it does and its sloppy and I have NO IDEA WHY or where to post it.

So I'm in General Questions.

If you have any idea or have seen this before I'd appreciate your knowledge.

So theres a few stylesheets in there I was thinking maybe they are fighting?

The total size of this home page is about 250k of which 162k is images.

You can try enabling gzip if supported, or try a faster server

Heres a shot of the font change, it's huge

and the normal font size

As you can see sometimes the text doesn't even show after this happens.

Can't get a shot of the categories jumping but they jump right in to the middle of the page and then back to left real quick!!

You think this is related to page size? I'll give anything a shot but why would filesize cause such behaviour?

The font thing is crazy. I just have no idea.

The category thing I suspect may be an css flyout issue.

If you look at these attachements side by side you'll see how bad this is.

Huh Gzip in admin seems to have stopped it. I can't replicate it anymore. My
server is *supposed *to be zencart friendly( siteground ). But they all say that dont they.

Now I'm just curious as to why....Gzip helps it?

I'll optimize the file sizes. Just trying to toss it together ATM.

For some servers gzip reduces the page size transfered over the www - less content transferred quicker response - a bit more invloved than this but this is the basic answer
